ÄKTA® is a Swedish word that means “genuine“. We chose the name ÄKTA® for our high content organic skin care line because we knew the ingredients we would use would most commonly be used in products that cost two to three times the price of ÄKTA®. Less than 1% of all Aloe vera is grown hydroponically in a temperature controlled greenhouse environment; there is no need for herbicides or pesticides. Our growing methods enable the us to use more nutrients during the growing period. This is not the most cost effective growing method and there is a limit to how much can grown but the quality of our products are beyond compare and our prices are still far below any competing product lines. When most brands use water as the 1st and main ingredient to lower the cost of their product, we use our 100% organic greenhouse grown hydroponic Aloe as the 1st and main ingredient in every item. So when you are trying any of our ÄKTA® products for the first time know that you are buying pure concentrated organic quality and not just another pricey bottle of water.
With ÄKTA® we took the same approach as with our LEROSETT® organic acne line insisting that all ÄKTA® organic skin care products stand out amongst a crowded industry of skin care products that all similar in almost evey way. ÄKTA® high content organics went into development in the early 1990s after the great success of our LEROSETT® Organic Acne line. ÄKTA® is the brand name for our (non acne) high content organic moisturizers, cleansers and toners. Products that use water as the 1st ingredient are mostly made of water, meaning less active ingredients and an all around less effective and usually over priced product.
The 1st goal with ÄKTA® was to make the most effective organic skin care products possible, the 2nd goal was to stay under $40, we succeeded with both.
